Sustainability
At Marcia, we care about being sustainable.
From our fabrics to your doorstep, we do everything we can to be kind to the environment. Conscious of the environmental impact of the fashion industry, we do our best to ensure that Marcia remains an eco-friendly brand. One of our priorities is to recycle fabrics endlessly to avoid creating any excess material.
Materials we use at Marcia.
AQUAFIL - ECONYL® REGENERATED NYLON
Our jersey garment is exclusively crafted with this innovative regenerated nylon and made in France. This killer fabric is a fiber made out of waste that’s been rescued from landfills and oceans around the world. It can be recycled, recreated and remolded again and again. That means you can create new products and buy new products without having to use new resources.
ITALIAN MERINO WOOL
Our Knits are 100% Italian Merinos wool. Easy to care for and durable. Merino wool is 100% natural and renewable and recovered from sheep fleeces. This material is 6 times more resistant than cotton. It is a wool in its natural state that is totally biodegradable. When buried, merino wool decomposes and can even be used as a fertilizer as it releases nutrients. Of course, anything that's good for the planet is good for your skin, so it's perfect for sensitive types of skin. In addition, it offers UV protection. A Merino wool garment is a real thermal insulator and helps to regulate your body temperature. Moreover, the wool fiber allows the body to breathe and protects against cold and heat, so it can be worn in winter as well as in summer. This fabric also has strong anti-bacterial properties that act against odors. These properties reduce the number of washes, which is a major factor in minimizing its environmental impact.
UPCYCLED FABRICS
Nona Source is the first online resale platform which re-values deadstock fabrics and leathers from the most exclusive LVMH’s French Maisons de Couture. Nona Source allows creatives to easily access high-quality materials while encouraging to reuse existing resources. As a committed and environmentally responsible company, Nona Source lays the foundations for a circular fashion model. In this, it echoes LVMH's commitment towards the environment through the group's LIFE 360 program (LIFE: LVMH Initiatives For The Environment). Nona Source’s catalogue offers a wide variety of materials selected by prestigious couture houses, all certified "deadstock" from the LVMH group's Maisons.

Our production process.
REASONABLE PRODUCTION
In our design process we pay attention to avoid overproduction. To do this, we listen carefully to our customers, their comments and requests for restocking, for example. We prefer to use a reasoned production method in several stages to avoid overproduction.
ECO-FRIENDLY PACKAGING
All orders placed on our website are wrapped in a recycled silk paper, slipped into our Marcia recycled cotton tote bags and shipped in a compostable mailer. It’s carbon negative, biodegradable and partly made from corn starch. For our Evening Dresses, we chose to send them in a 100% recycled cotton garment bag, made in France. We believe in the importance of combining high quality service with the least possible impact.
